BOOK CYCLE

Book-Cycle is a UK based volunteer run Charity. They seek to empower communities in developing countries through the provision of free books and educational resources. They also encourage the reforestation of rural England by offering free trees and information on self-sustainability.
All of this is achieved through your kind donations at their 'free' bookshops and shelves located in community spaces.
Book-Cycle also works to benefit the local community; establishing projects to encourage self-reliance through home food growing, engaging in global issues and promoting wildlife through the planting of trees. They provide free internet access, seed banks, independent film screenings, 'Bring Your Own Art' exhibitions and a variety of workshops too!
SPEED DATING

To get involved In the Exeter speed dating network, the first thing you need to do is register on the web site. All that is required are a few bits of information about you. Nothing sensitive is shared with other members, only your picture, first name, age, and your personal statement. You will need to be 18 years or older.
The unique thing about the site is that you're placed on an event which will be attended by someone you like and who also likes you. How does this all work?
Once you've registered, you'll be able to browse through the other members and mark who you like and who you don't like. The site then uses all of these 'matches' to work out who to group together at the same event and once you've been placed at an event you're emailed with all the details, including everyone else that's going.
Exeter Speed Dating events are run regularly at the following venues but each event will be for a specific place and time. Members will use the site to record whether they can go or not and each venue organises and hosts the event itself.

Members are also kept up-to-date with who has recently 'admired' them, and future placements are weighted in favour of those 'mutual attractions' whom have yet to attend an event together.
