Sylvia

An attempt to have a peek into the mind of this extra ordinary talented, ‘tormented’ soul

This theatre piece can neither answer all the questions it raises, nor solve all the mysteries it investigates. The focus here is what makes her suicidal, rather than the actual act of suicide. Because though performed in actuality once, it must have repeated itself a thousand times in her mind. That's why she helplessly asks, ‘Is there a way out of the mind?’ It is impossible to understand Sylvia Plath's life without examining her long relationship with death, which eventually consummated in suicide. An effort to re-create what must have gone through her mind in those last 15 minutes of her life.
