Laugh Out Loud Comedy Festival

After the success of last year, we’re really excited to be brightening up your winter gloom with our 7th Laugh Out Loud (LOL) Festival bringing you an array of comedians from all over the country for a city-wide festival.  It’s a chance to see award-winning comedy both in the intimate atmosphere of The Bike Shed Theatre and at other venues across the city as Exeter takes the comedy circuit by storm.

With a huge variety of acts from Mark Thomas, to Josie Long and Rory Bremner the expectations are justifiably high.  Joining them will be madcap Morecambe and Wise meets David Lynch duo Publick Transport, Melbourne’s Best Newcomer Rose Matafeo and ITV 2’s identical twins Annie McGrath and Jack Barry.  We’ve also got Adam Hess, star of ‘Live at the BBC’ and Thunderbards Glenn Moore, plus Stuart Goldsmith – fresh from a month of packed houses at the Edinburgh Fringe. Stuart Laws is presenting a ‘best of’ show from Turtle Canyon Comedy whilst  Bilal Zafar’s show ‘Cakes’ tells a hilarious journey of invoking the outrage of Katie Hopkins et al when his twitter handle was mistaken for a Muslim-only bakery.  David Trent’s comedy show links robot sex clocks, Foxconn anti suicide rats, Samsung virtual bedtimes and the European lightbulb directive.  Don’t forget Brian Gittins – sponsored by Rampoo (Shampoo for rams of course!), Gareth Richards from ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’, critically acclaimed Fern Brady and, (as she’ll tell you several times) – award-winning Sofie Hagen.

In order to enable audiences to make the most of the unbelievable choice at LOL you can book multiple shows and save up to £10 across the festival. Book now for an extravagant comedy-filled time!
